STATUE STROLL

We begin our cultural statue stroll at the Time Goes By sculpture, which illustrates the history of Oulu, located behind City Hall in Maria Silvfan Park. Great heroes and heroines guide our way. Along the route, we get to know notable figures from the city’s past through sculptures and reliefs.

You may discover details you have never noticed before—or perhaps never even considered to be art. Come and hear when, why, and how sculptures and reliefs acquired to beautify the city have found their place in parks, squares, and on the walls of buildings.
